Dear Dumplin,
May is Haitian heritage month. Since your Dad was born in Haiti, I thought it would be a good time to educate us both on the beautiful Haitian culture. Don’t get me wrong, your Dad does teach you things and I am sure he will continue to do so. However, I want you to learn from both your Dad and your Mom that all aspects of your heritage and culture are beautiful and something to be cherished. Let’s learn together!
