October is National Book Month!

Dear Dumplin,

October is National Book Month!  You know I love a good book.  To celebrate, I am going to highlight children’s books that you have really identified with or that I plan to get for you.  On Friday, I’m going take you down memory lane and show you the awesome books I have already featured on my blog.  I’m super excited!  (I may even sneak in one or two adult books in October.  But no worries, every book I feature is something I want you to read at one point.)

I enjoy your books as much as you do.  Our reading time together makes me really happy.  We snuggle up in the rocking chair in your room and you usually hold my hand.  Sometimes you lay with your head in my neck.  It’s quite yummy.  Other times you tell me what you see in the pictures.  That’s fun too!  In fact, it’s perfect!  I love that you love books as much as I do.

October is going to be fun!  (I’m such a nerd and I love it.)  I think I’m even going to do a giveaway this month.  Stay tuned!

Love,

Mama

  1. Sharing the love for books with children is something I also enjoy, although it’s just my students for now. I haven’t started my own library of children’s books just yet, but I hope to discover some here that I can share with my goddaughter (she’s gonna be 7 in December!) I kind of want to make a shopping trip with her and have her choose books that stand out to her. But I also can’t wait until she gets older so I can buy her what I read as a child (American Girl Collection):

    1. A shopping trip would be fun! I’m sure your students love having you as well. My niece just turned 10 and she’s very into books. Seeing what they like also tells us as adults a lot about their personality. I read the books myself! Thanks so much for reading and leaving a comment.
